Our Services





We provide care for a range of groups, including the elderly and sick, people with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems, and those with physical disabilities.


We provide a person centred care, personalised to match your specific needs and preferences as well as your budget. We are flexible - there is no real limit to the type of care & support we offer. It may be something as simple as a half hour domestic call each day at a time to suit you, or it may be providing a more complex package of care.


We provide services like personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication assistance, domestic duties and dementia care among many other things. We also provide respite for carers and support for young carers.



Domestic Duties & Housekeeping



The list below is not restrictive because we will tailor our service around your needs.



  • Light household cleaning
  • Assisting with washing, ironing, laundry and linen
  • Shopping, and support with online shopping
  • Collecting pensions and other benefits
  • Collecting prescription medications and similar chores


Companionship



This will be designed to suit your hobbies, interests and appointments - It’s healthier and more fun to share activities with another person!



  • Having someone to talk to or simply interact with another over a cup of tea or a favourite activity can make a massive difference in person’s wellbeing.
  • Companion care is ideal for ensuring loved one is safe, comfortable and are receiving attention.
  • A companion can also help with attending medical appointments as well as Social activities


Respite Care



In order to provide the best care to your loved one, you may need a break



  • Its important that you build a meaningful and lasting relationship with the loved ones you looked after. That’s why we encourage respite care for all carers so they can stay healthy and look after themselves too!
  • We offer specialist respite care for a one off occasions or on a weekly basis.
  • You can take an activity or a short holiday knowing your loved one is safe and healthy.


Palliative Care



End of Life care is about improving the quality of life of anyone facing a life-threatening condition.



  • It includes physical, emotional and spiritual care.
  • We will work really close with your healthcare professionals and pastoral teams to provide specialist support so you can stay in the home and environment that you love
  • Your family and loved ones can also concentrate on what really matters, spending quality time with you.
  • We work really close with all major religious/spiritual organisations in Bristol so can arrange prayer sessions and special visits from your choice of pastoral/spiritual teams.


Community Integration



Including rehabilitation and goal-setting,
These activities will build self-esteem, interest and contribute to a holistic health.



  • A crucial part of our mission is to create communities that work for everyone. We work really hard to create opportunities and activities for the elderly and the disabled to participate in.
  • Ask about our Social prescribing sessions! They aim to engage and stimulate some fun!
  • Rehabilitation and goal-setting
  • Assistance with daily rehabilitation routines
  • Home adaptation for comfort and skill development
  • Socialisation and confidence-building activities


Mothers Help



A most precious service for precious times.
At Alef care, we are about the whole community and believe we can expand our care to mothers.



  • Whether you’re a new mum, or have multiple children, an extra pair of hands can make the world of difference!
  • A mother’s help will generally work alongside the mother, helping with any household duties that the mother needs assistance with as well as caring for the children.
  • A mother’s help is a supervised role and you need to specifically state before hand if you wish to leave the children with her alone for long periods of time.
  • Some duties may include: Preparing meals and tidying after children, Tidying of children’s room or nursery, Help with shopping and outings as a family.
